“ Clothing and dress forms allow me to refer specifically to female experience .... I have also used dress and clothing forms distorted or altered in unexpected ways to explore various states of mind or emotional situations.

Some of these distortions are obvious such as in my bookwork 'Stripey Dress Mutations' where a dress mutates in various ways only to return to its starting point.

As well as medical illustration and costume, my sources of inspiration include 1940's and 50's graphics and advertising, naïve art and old prints and drawings. ”
