So Randy Klein takes aspects of the ancient celebrations of Ferragosto (more about Ferragosto in the 'review' section) and a holiday with his friends to weave these into a modern day account of a group of holidaymakers who meet in a bar and then travel up into the hills of Liguria in Italy, to an ancient, abandoned monastery. They eat meat and herbs and, for one night, are transformed under the light of a full moon. ”
